About Paned Expressions Studios: Stained Glass Pattern Designers Since 1978
Our Studio
Paned Expressions Studios is a family-run stained glass design studio based in Maryland. Since 1978, our artists have created stained glass patterns, custom designs and finished glass work for makers, collectors, homes, churches and businesses.
Our work begins with line, proportion and color. Whether the final piece is a downloadable pattern, a custom design or a finished commission, the goal is the same: create artwork that is beautiful, practical and made to be used.
A Pattern Library for Many Kinds of Makers
Paned Expressions patterns are used by stained glass artists as well as quilters, mosaic makers, woodworkers, glass fusers and other craftspeople.
Our downloadable patterns are offered in the file formats available for each design, including printable PDF, JPG and compatible Glass Eye (.EYE) files.
That flexibility makes it possible to print a pattern at full size, resize it for a new project, trace it by hand or edit a compatible file digitally.
Our Design Philosophy
We believe stained glass is painting with light. The glass, line work and construction should support the artwork rather than limit it.
That philosophy has guided our studio for decades and continues to shape every pattern and custom commission we create.
Experience You Can See
Our work has appeared in private collections, public installations, homes, churches, corporate spaces and publications.
